Chuck's Original Steak House Waikiki Mai Tai is a tradition among visitors to the white, sandy beaches of Waikiki. This recipe will show you how to make one.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz light rum
  • 1 ounce Demerara dark rum
  • 3/4 oz orange curacao
  • 1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/2 oz falernum

Instructions

    1. Combine light rum, dark rum, orange curacao, orgeat, sweet and sour mix, falernum, and cracked ice into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously (and we mean VIGOROUSLY, it truly makes the difference between a good Mai Tai and a great Mai Tai).
    2. Strain into an old fashioned glass over shaved ice.
    3. Garnish with a fresh lime slice and a mint sprig.
